Louth Academy receives additional funding, Catch-Up Funding, to support students who joined the Academy below standard in Maths and/or reading in Year 7.

In 2019 – 2020 the Academy will receive an estimated £21,962.

The Academy will primarily focus the Catch-Up Funding to accelerate progress and increase outcomes at the end of Year 7.

In 2019 - 2020 the Academy will use Catch-Up Funding for a range of provision as follows:

• Reduced class sizes to improve opportunities and outcomes.
• One to one, paired or small group reading lessons.
• Individual literacy/numeracy support.

In 2018 - 2019, the Academy received £20,000. This was used as follows:

• Reduced class sizes to improve opportunities and outcomes.
• One to one, paired or small group reading lessons.
• Individual literacy/numeracy support.
• Purchasing additional literacy resources.

The impact of the funding is as follows:

Literacy

Progress in English (based on the national expected progress rate):

• 100% of students made at least expected progress in Year 7 from their KS2 starting point.
• 3.7% of students made more than expected progress in Year 7 from their KS2 starting point.

Numeracy

Progress in Maths (based on the national expected progress):

• 100% of students made at least expected progress in Year 7 from their KS2 starting point.
• 3.3% of students made more than expected progress in Year 7 from their KS2 starting point.
